Borneol is a component of many essential oils, and it is a natural insect repellent.
Today borneol is classified as an agent for opening blocked orifices,
and is described as pungent, bitter, and slightly cold .
It is indicated for severe obstruction of the orifices
(that may cause coma or convulsive diseases),
for heat syndromes,and for pain. Although not often mentioned as useful for this purpose,
borneol is a common addition to treatments for lung diseases in modern clinical practice.
It is also applied topically (usually with other substances) for a wide range of conditions,
mainly for swelling in the throat, mouth sores,
ear infections, cervical erosion, psoriasis, boils, pain, and eye diseases.
Oil of cloves, also known as clove oil, is an essential oil from the clove plant,
Syzygium aromaticum.It is a natural analgaesic and antiseptic used primarily in
dentistry for its main ingredient eugenol.as a home remedy for
dental pain relief, mainly toothache;
it is also often found in the aromatherapy section of health food stores.
The oil produced by cloves can be used in many things
from flavouring medicine to remedies for bronchitis,
the common cold, a cough, fever, sore throat and tending to infections.
The Cajuput Tree originates from the Indonesia coastal plains.
An evergreen, vigorous growing tree, with a whitish spongy bark and crooked trunk.
By stimulating sweating, Cajuput oil cools down the body and helps with such infections as colds,
laryngitis and bronchitis. Helpful for asthma, sinusitis and a sore throat.
It calms the digestive system, soothes colic, enteritis, dysentery, vomiting and spasms.
Also a repellent against insect bites, lice, and fleas.
Camphor is a white crystalline substance, obtained from the tree Cinnamonum camphora.
A Camphor oil exudes in the process of extracting Camphor,
which is valued by the Chinese, used for medicinal purposes.
Two substances are found in commerce under the name of oil of
Camphor: one is the produce of C. cinnamonum,
and is known as Formosa or Japanese oil of Camphor;
the other as East Indian oil of Camphor, from the D. aromatica .
It is less volatile than the other, and has a distinctive odour;
it is highly prized by the Chinese, who use it for embalming purposes and to scent soap.
The Chinese attribute many virtues to it. It is mentioned by Marco Polo in the thirteenth century
and Camoens in 1571, who called it the 'balsam of disease.
Camphor has a strong, penetrating, fragrant odour,
a bitter, pungent taste, and is slightly cold to the touch like menthol .
The oil has a sweet, lemony, fresh, with a woody hint.
The oil has a strong citronella-like scent that is uplifting and comforting.

muscle aches, sprains, and similar conditions. It has been proved as antifungal and antibacterial agent.
